I’ve been spending time focusing on my health lately, and part of that was reevaluating my daily multi-vitamin. I have been taking GNC Women’s Ultra Mega Energy & Metabolism for years now, even though I know they aren’t the best for me (they have caffeine, which I don’t love). As I was

When I started journaling, I tried a bunch of different pens and found felt pens to be my favorite. Specifically, Papermate Flair Ultra Fine pens. Never one to leave well enough alone though, I had to try more. Papermate Flair Ultra Fine The Papermate Flair Ultra Fine were my initial favorite, but

I loved my Pebble Time Round smartwatch, and I was really bummed when it was announced that FitBit had purchased Pebble. The purchase meant there would be no more updates to the Pebble. A shame because the watch did have some bugs like not always updating the weather, and occasionally losing steps.

Have I mentioned how hyper-focus can be weird? If not, hyper-focus can be weird. It can cause you to really focus on something that doesn’t really matter. Most recently, I hyper-focused on pens. Pens weren’t really something I gave a ton of thought to before this. I’ve always been a big fan
Book Review: Beyond Surrender

It’s always bittersweet when one of your favorite series ends. And with Beyond Surrender, I’m there with my favorite romance series. Even though the women who write as Kit Rocha are going to continue stories in this universe, leaving these characters is the kind of bummer we’re all used to. That being
Book Review: David Bowie Retrospective and Coloring Book

As the adult coloring book trend reaches critical mass, there are coloring books for nearly everything. The David Bowie Retrospective and Coloring Book is the first one I’ve seen also claim to be a retrospective. And honestly, it’s a little disappointing on both fronts. As a Coloring Book Most of the adult

Like most people who work at a computer all day, I have some repetitive strain injury (RSI) issues. Using a vertical mouse was a great step towards lessening the pain. As was working these muscles in a different way by playing guitar. But my keyboard has still been a pain point. Up

Algorithms are everywhere in our lives. And while I can appreciate the way they can make life easier, they’ve also always made me somewhat uncomfortable. Not just in the “invasion of privacy” way either, although that is certainly a concern. In her book Weapons of Math Destruction, data scientist Cathy O’Neil (aka the
