Backyard Toursim: Indianapolis Food
I love to eat. I can eat anywhere, anytime and I do. And despite what Parks & Recreation thinks, there’s more good, local food in Indianapolis than just St. Elmo’s. Here are a few of my favourite places- I’ve decided to leave off my likes and dislikes so you can check them out and make the decision for yourself. (A lot of them are in the Downtown/Fountain Square/Mass Ave areas.)
- Bucca di Beppo – Italian, downtown & Castleton
- Santorini Greek Kitchen – Greek, Fountain Square
- B’s Po Boy – Cajun/Creole, Fountain Square
- Bluebeard / Black Market – Varies, Fountain Square/Mass Ave (owned by the same people)
- Tex-Mex – Mexican, Downtown (East St.)
If you check any of these places out, let me know what you think and feel free to add your own to the list in the comments.

You forgot Pure, my absolute favorite! The healthier food makes me feel way less guilty about having a few cocktails.
My wife and I eat out way too much, so we’ve got quite a few favorites:
• Maxine’s Chicken & Waffles (downtown, Lockerbie)
• Naked Tchopstix – Broad Ripple, 96th St
• Jockamo’s Pizza – Irvington
• Iaria’s downtown
• Long’s Donuts – Southport
Can vouch for Santorini, B’s and Maxine’s. A sucker for Yats, Papa Roux is also great. I haven’t been to Goose the Market nearly enough (once), must return. Siam Square in Fountain Square is always good, so is Thai Cafe in Broad Ripple. Speaking of Broad Ripple, Broad Ripple Brew Pub and Aristocrat.
