Book Review: Beyond Innocence

I’m behind on this review, and for that dear readers I apologize. The book was released on May 20th, and I actually finished it on May 14th. Beyond Innocence is the latest book in the Beyond series, which you’ve seen me go on and on about. The series itself is an erotic romance set in a dystopian future. And as I’ve said time and time again, this is a solid dystopian series. The erotic part is just an added bonus.
I don’t want to get into too much detail about Beyond Innocence, because I’m sure you don’t want any spoilers. So to be incredibly vague, Beyond Innocence gives us more of a perspective of different sectors and how they interact with each other and the city. This novel, while still heavy on the romance, has less of it than earlier books in the series. This is something I’ve noticed with each book. As the drama gets deeper and more complicated, the romance becomes less of a focus. I think that’s a good thing. It reflects the tension the characters are living.
As with the rest of the series, I very much suggest you go pick up this book. The world building and character development is phenomenal, and the story keeps you involved until the very end. You can get the eBook from your favorite store for $4.99.
