Cards Against Humanity: 12 Days Of Holiday Bullshit
Looking for 10 Days Or Whatever of Kwanzaa information? Check out my coverage here.
In the middle of November, I was tipped off that Cards Against Humanity had launched a campaign called 12 Days Of Holiday Bullshit. If you were signed up for their mailing list, you got an email about this. I was not at the time, but thankfully heard about it early enough to get in on the fun. The concept is simple. Pay $12, and Cards Against Humanity will send you 12 “presents” during the holiday season. No more information other than this was given. Being a fan of the game, I didn’t need any more information, and gladly signed up. When signing up, you are given a small survey. Below are the answers I filled out on November 13th:
I have a number of friends who signed up for this as well. On Wednesday, 12-11, I got a text from someone that they had received their first piece of bullshit in the mail. I had gone directly from work to an advance screening of Saving Mr. Banks (see my review here on puregeekery), so I was excited when I got home to check my mail…only to find nothing :/ The next day, my same friend texted me saying she received two more pieces of bullshit in the mail. I still got nothing in the mail that day.
Finally on Friday, I received my first piece of bullshit in the mail. Below I will document the things I have received from 12 Days of Holiday Bullshit in detail (with pictures). If you are signed up for this as well, and are still waiting to receive things, consider this your warning that I am about to SPOIL THIS FOR YOU!
Bullshit #1 (arrived 12-13-13):
Here is where I noticed a problem. The message details the fact that all 12 pieces of bullshit contain a puzzle, and the first person to crack the puzzle will get a special prize. I personally don’t really care about the prize, but the fact that people are receiving things earlier than others makes this contest very much not fair. Also, it lets you know that you can follow along with the “daily” presents at http://www.holidaybullshit.com/. Each present has a funny video Cards Against Humanity has made to go along with it. This is great. What is less great is resisting temptation to look down further than what I have received in the mail, spoiling the surprise for myself. I’ll do my best, but I don’t have high hopes that I can hold out.
On Saturday, 12-14, I received bullshits 2 and 3 in the mail. Below is details on what I received.

Bullshit #3:
3 days down, 9 to go! I’m having fun with this, and the cards I’ve gotten so far are pretty good (I’ve checked with others getting gifts as well, and everyone is getting the same stuff. I hope they personalize some cards based on the questionnaire answers before this ends). Check back here in days to come, as I will update this post as I receive more gifts from the wonderful folks at Cards Against Humanity.
12-16 update: Per Nicole’s request, I will be creating separate blog posts when more gifts come in due to updating an article not showing up in RSS feeds. I will post links to the new articles here as well for anyone that has bookmarked this and is checking back for updates. – Ryan
