PIPA and SOPA Supporters

It’s close to election time, and while I’m not usually political, I make an exception for bills like SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA(Protect IP Act). These were hot button political issues at the start of the year, and for good reason. These acts will allow entire domains to be blocked with an allegation of copyright infringement. Not a convection. An allegation.

A domain does not mean a specific page on a website. It means everything that is on that particular site. For example:  if someone posted copyrighted material to YouTube, all of YouTube could then be taken down.

This is where members of Congress stand on the issue. Remember this when you go vote on Tuesday.
