Cards Against Humanity: 10 Days Or Whatever Of Kwanzaa
Holiday season is here, and Cards Against Humanity is in full spirit again, this year offering 10 Days Or Whatever Of Kwanzaa! For the slightly more expensive price than last year of $15 (vs $12 last year), I will once again be getting numerous gifts in the mail throughout the month of December. In true Cards Against Humanity spirit, for $3 extra, this year two less gifts as well!
Just like last year, I will be documenting the entire experience here on Pure Geekery. Spoilers lie ahead, so this is your one and final warning!
As of writing this piece on Monday evening, I have so far received the first 3 days gifts. Even though there’s less gifts this year, they’re coming out of the gate pretty strong so far.
Day 1 (arrived 12-05-14):
The effort put into the envelopes this hear is much higher than last year. They are completely in color, with a lot of detail. Just like last year, there will be a puzzle to go along with the gifts this year. Clues are hidden everywhere (including in the pictures on the envelopes). A special website dedicated to solving the puzzle can be found here. A video on the puzzle page states that this year’s puzzle is substantially more complex than 2013 puzzle, which took months before anyone actually solved it. Bonus points go to Trin Garritano for drinking one of the most delicious beers ever during her interview, Spotted Cow!
The holidaybullshit.com website has also been completely revamped for the 2014 promotion. On it you will find a video/picture to go along with each day, as well as a download link for each day’s envelope graphic (labeled “Today’s Wallpaper)”. As of writing this Monday evening, Day 2 just went live on the site, though I received it on Saturday, and also received Day 3’s gift in the mail today.
Enough about the the envelope and website though, you’re here about the gifts!
TWO PERSONALIZED CARDS! Upping their game from last year on gift number one, we now have both a black and white card with our name on it. One of the questions when registering for this year asked if we participated in last year’s event. For those that did not, they received a white card with just their name on it. For those of us who received this card last year, we received the above butt card.
Day 2 (arrived 12-06-14):
These reusable decal stickers are quality! Check out the video for Day 2 on the holidaybullshit.com website for some ideas on how to user your stickers.
Day 3 (arrived 12-08-14):
10 shiny new holiday cards. These definitely are not the strongest cards I’ve seen in expansion packs, but if this is anything like last year, the cards will get better in later gifts. There’s a few solid ones in there at least.
That’s all I have to report for now. I’ll put up another post when I get 2 or 3 more gifts in the mail, like last year. Speaking of last year, if you haven’t seen my coverage of 2013’s 12 Days Of Holiday Bullshit, check it all out at the links below!

This is my first time taking part and I love it!
Day 4 was a newspaper-style comics section. Arrived last Saturday for me. Nothing since.
I’m freaking out because I haven’t received ANY yet! :/
I haven’t either. I’m starting to worry they were stolen!
I also haven’t gotten mine. 🙁
I have not yet received any of my items either. I have a locked mailbox and therefore I am confident that they were not stolen. I did sign up late (12/1). Maybe some will be there today…
To those that have not received anything yet, this happened last year as well. Mail is slower in some areas than others. I have a friend in Chicago that got her stuff much later than most other people due to the amount of mail that is processed on a daily basis in the area. This is taken directly form the Holidaybullshit.com website:
Gifts started arriving for other people but not me.
Don’t panic. More importantly, don’t email us. We’re relying on the postal service during the busiest time of the year. Your gifts may arrive late or out of order. If you’re still missing a gift in January, email us at mail@cardsagainsthumanity.com.
I think they are sending them out in staggered order based on when they were ordered. I ordered one set for myself that is already half over, as did another friend that ordered early. But one I ordered later for my girlfriend hasn’t even started shipping yet. Wish CAH folks would confirm this possibility.
I got my first present today. It was the Day 4 comic. Did everyone actually get all of their presents last year? I understand that they can arrive out of order, but given that we are halfway through the month and my first gift was #4 received over a week after some people received this particular envelope, I’m a bit nervous.
The same thing happened to me, all I have received is the comic and nothing since. I ordered mine way early so I’m just hoping everything else comes
I too received my day four comic as my first kwanza or whatever gift. Lends credence to the whole staggering theory… Let’s find out!
My first envelope arrived today & was the comic strip. Running out to check my recycling to confirm I didn’t accidentally throw out envelopes 1-3. Betting they come out of order. So fun!
Did everyone get their 10 full gifts or did people have incomplete/missing sets?
