Finding Fluffy: Perfecting the Playlist

I spent all morning pouring over our wedding playlist. I managed to cut an 8 hour playlist down to 5 hours and change, and am putting off the task of tumblr_lelq70PLMW1qdal8so1_500perfectly mixing the songs for party optimization. As a kid of the 90s, the perfect playlist mix is an art that takes time, mixing the highs and lows to get people in the proper party mood. (3 weeks is enough, right?)

All of these hours of sifting through my music collection and picking out the perfect songs got me thinking about the role of music in our lives. It’s obvious that music is important- we all have our favourite songs, music that marks our lives and can take us back in time to moments in our life. Happy and sad, music changes your soul. More divisive, and more unifying than politics, the love or hate of a band or song can make or break a friendship… or a marriage. 😀 Everyone has to find their Fluffy, and when you do, you see the world through different eyes. Music is magic (or the closest thing we’ll get to without our Hogwarts letters.)

So don’t mind me while I spend an inordinate amount of time composing the perfect wedding playlist. Life and love are at stake here!
