Product Review: Ogio Brooklyn Tablet Purse
I carry an absurd amount of stuff with me when I’m on a blogging assignment. My iPad, phone, battery backup, pens, a notebook, all the things a good blogger should have on hand at any given time. Finding a purse that was able to carry all those things, and not look like a backpack or a diaper bag was tricky. When searching for the perfect bag, I came across the Ogio Brooklyn Tablet Purse.
The most awesome thing about this particular purse is that it has a 10” tablet sleeve built in. Its padded, and lifts your tablet a bit off the bottom of the purse. So if you tend to slam your stuff around (like I do) it provides a little bit of protection, still be careful though. It also has a zipper pocket on one side, and a few open pockets on the other, to help keep you organized.
My main problem with this particular purse though, is the lack of protection on the bottom. Sure, your tablet is lifted off of the ground a bit by the design of the sleeve, but I would have liked to have seen Ogio take a bit more care in protection from the bottom. Purses get set on all kinds of unsafe places; tables, floors of movie theaters, tossed in the back of the car. And adding some water resistance and a solid bottom to this bag would have given me just a little more peace of mind.
Overall, the Ogio Brooklyn Tablet purse is a cute bag that is able to hold all of your stuff. While making sure you can find your stuff when you need it. It looks nice enough to carry on a day-to-day basis, and is small enough it won’t get in the way while you’re trying to get things done. It also has the benefit of being a crossbody, which I personally love, because I hate having to carry extra stuff. I recommend it for anyone who has a gadget problem, but may not want to advertise that fact.
The Ogio Brooklyn Tablet Purs has an MSRP of $40.00, but is available on Amazon for $35.00 often.
Disclaimer: I bought the Ogio purse for myself.
This actually looks super cute! One reason I stopped using my iPad (and eventually sold it) was because I was constantly buying purses that I knew it would fit into. Even with the obvious flaws, I guess I never thought to seek out a “purse” that was made to hold a tablet.
I did stop using this when I got my mini, mainly because it fits into every purse so well. But I use this for conventions and such still because I can throw the bluetooth keyboard in it.
Also, don’t get the green. Way cuter online than real life, hence the stock photo. lol.
Yeah, I am going to be getting a retina mini soon, and my annual shopping spree at Coach Factory, so hopefully I’ll have a cute purse to go with a cute fun sized iPad. LOL.
